Gallantry Awards: Gallantry Awards are presented to the personnel in the forces for bravery and valour. The Gallantry awards for 2020 are as follows:
- Param Vir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Mahavir Chakra, Kirti Chakra, Vir Chakra, Shaurya Chakra
Vir Chakra: Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman was awarded Vir Chakra , the third highest wartime gallantry award.
